Chopsticks

I really like floral patterns, so maybe it’s just me, but isn’t this pair of chopsticks pretty? I bought them at the same Japanese supermarket as the ox.
Despite being proficient at eating with chopsticks, I prefer using forks. They make more sense to me sometimes. Take, for instance, fried rice. Eating it with chopsticks baffles me. When I’m dining at an Asian restaurant and been given a pair of chopsticks, I’ll usually ask a server for a fork. Sacrilege, I know! What do you prefer using at Asian restaurants?

I like to eat pretty much everything with a spoon. Does that make me weird?
Beautiful chopsticks!
I grew up eating with chopsticks, I eat Japanese food with chopsticks, I take my own chopsticks to Asian restaurants because I don’t like the disposible ones. Now having said all that I have to tell you I grew up in Arizona, with a Japanese mother and a Mexican father so when I cook taco shells I use chopsticks, and when I roll enchiladas I use chopsticks, I use chopsticks exclusively when cooking bacon and sausage. Mexican people laugh when they see me cooking with chopsticks, but that’s how my mother did it so that’s how I do it! :0)
AZ: I thought I was pretty good at using chopsticks, but it sounds like you’ve got me beat.
It also sounds like you make some tasty food!
