Ginger Candy

Whoa, baby—is this Ginger Candy spicy! I wimped out after eating one piece. But I’ll be back for more of its strong ginger taste and underlying subtle sweetness.

The coating on the candy tastes similar to that of the Preserved Fruit I posted about last week. And just like with the Preserved Fruit photos, it’s hard for me to stop staring at these Ginger Candy ones. Dang you “FOOD COLOUR RED #3″!

Reading about your description of this reminds me of Warheads, those sour candies (where there is a challenge of keeping it in your mouth for a certain amount of time. I remember I did that once and then I lost my sense of taste {I couldn’t taste the sweet center.}) Yeah, I would always just rinse it off with water first. (Wimpiness prevails! Whoo! haha.)

Lian: I don’t think I’ve ever had Warheads. I’m not into suffering while I’m eating, so I usually avoid really spicy, sour, or bitter foods.

Where can I get this candy? I have searched all over online and can’t find it.

Linsey: Amazon.com sells the 2-oz. pack that I showcase. The 7-oz. one is a better deal, though.
