Red Bean Ice Bar

This Red Bean Ice Bar is basically a sweet popsicle filled with red beans. The most awesome thing about it is that there are red beans in every bite. Every. Bite. Yay! (I looked up how to spell ‘popsicle’ because really, it’s been years since I’ve written that word, and learned that it’s called ‘ice lolly’ in England. Cute, huh?)

Haha. Ice lolly. That IS cute. On a similar note, I had a sculpture teacher from New Zealand and he called a cooler, Chilly Bin. (We all stared at him). haha. Very cute terminology.

I like those red bean popsicles. And taro. And the kinds with jelly in it are interesting. Have you ever had Durian flavored popsicles? I haven’t. A friend said that he had but that it didn’t smell. (Whaaa?!) haha. I had frozen durian once and the smell was overpowering. I think the durian tasted like its smell. But I think it tasted like coffee. (But I don’t like coffee.)

There’s also Green Tea Fubuki ice cream. Mmm…Very creamy and delicious. Japanese ice cream. Oh! And my sister bought Persian ice cream. Rose water, saffron, and pistachios. It is definitely VERY interesting. It’s a very dense ice cream. It’s yellow with many tiny bits of pistachio everywhere. Every bite is like an adventure. Haha. Tastes like the smell of perfume. Rose perfume.

TabzChewy: I don’t think I’ve tried the sesame dessert ones. Now I’m curious about them. I’ve had sesame rice balls (the frozen kind you boil in sugared water) and sesame dessert soup; both are good!

Lian: No, I haven’t had durian-flavored popsicles. I’d try them, though, as I do like durian. (I can’t believe how controversial durian is, geez! LOL.) And I also haven’t tried either of those ice creams; they do sound good (the Persian one sounds really interesting).

I love the taro flavored popsicles! They’re delicious. Green tea was also pretty good. There was another flavor that I don’t remember but it translated to “sea coconut” from chinese. It was a weird name- any ideas? Thanks!

Tay: I didn’t see any flavor like Sea Coconut the last time I was at the store. I’ve only seen this brand of ice bars in Red Bean, Taro, Peanut, and Mung Bean flavors. Maybe there are more flavors for this brand…surely for other brands.
