Japanese Style Taro Mochi

I don’t know how to say this, other than to just say it: These Japanese Style Taro Mochi smell like wet socks. Thankfully, though, they don’t taste like them. Not that I actually know how wet socks taste. I think I really need some sleep.

Covered in some sort of powder (maybe rice?), the mochi are sweet and gummy. And the taro flavor isn’t strong; I had forgotten they were taro-flavored until I looked at the box after eating one.

I like these Japanese Style Taro Mochi all right, but will probably stick to Mochi Ice Cream when I want a mochi fix.

I picked these up a few days ago from a local asian market in town they looked good and they were not terribly expensive so I wanted to try them out. Thought to be honest I think I might have though they were Daifuku.

Sarah: I noticed you didn’t say whether you liked them. ;-)
