Soft Flour Cakes

I believe in love at first bite, I do. That sensation where you can’t believe your tastebuds, and you’re savoring every bite to make the flavors last or you can’t eat whatever it is you’re falling in love with fast enough.
So what does my jabbering about love, first bite, blah blah blah have to do with these Soft Flour Cakes?
Nothing much, except to say that I didn’t experience that wondrous feeling with them.

Rather, I think these cakes are something that’ll grow on you, if they ever do. I guess they’re the Chinese version of Rice Krispies Treats, but much less sweet and dense, and frankly, not as good. You may even be put off by their stale yet normal taste. With all of this said, why do I keep eating them?

(That’s a raisin, by the way.)

Oh these! Yeah, I remember these. There are also ones covered with sesame seeds and also a kind that’s green.
i love sachima.
