Cotton Candy

Can you guess where I got this cotton candy? No, the answer isn’t in an asian aisle.

Here’s a hint.

All right, then. I snagged the cotton candy in the dessert section of a Japanese buffet restaurant. I have a big sweet tooth, so of course I was all over this American childhood favorite. So what that the cotton candy was being offered in a Japanese restaurant, which actually made it more alluring.
* I will try to stick with posting photos of things I get from the asian aisle, but every now and then I’ll feature food from restaurants, usually as a complement to a post, because that’s how the non-cook in me rolls.

It looks like it would be apple-flavored or something. But then again, all it is is spun sugar. And coloring.
Lian: Sugar is pretty much all I tasted in the small piece of cotton candy I had. That piece was enough for me. (And I’d already eaten four other small desserts.)

Maybe it was supposed to be green tea flavored! Yum!
Zoe: I hadn’t considered that flavor; it would make sense.
