Soda Can Fizzy Candy

If one candy has the ability to make me feel like I’m five years old again, it’s this Soda Can Fizzy Candy.

It comes in four different flavors: grape (splash), orange (crash), lemon-lime (sprint), and loca cola. But while the outsides of the soda cans brought me back to being a kid again, the inside contents didn’t.

I had pinched back the reclosable lid of the loca cola can…

and laid it on its side…

“Good God, what the heck is this?! A rabbit food pellet?” was my thought, when I was finally able to force out a piece of candy.
I was scared.
Yet I popped a pellet into my mouth because I can be dumb like that, and you know what? That tiny thing actually started fizzing immediately in my mouth, and better yet, it tasted like Coke. But like real bottles of the carbonated soft drink, the candy tasted flat about halfway through.
So I think I’m going to leave this pseudo rabbit food/science experiment for the kids and return to acting like an adult. (We’ll see how long this lasts.)

What the HECK?!!??!! Dude, I totally had your same reaction, reading this post.
WHOA! I have never seen this at my local asian aisle! lol
DO WANT! (just to try…haha)
Is it only 1 pellet inside?
Lian: I’m glad I’m not the only one with the “WTH?!” reaction.
My: This is worth getting for the “Whoa!” factor. But I’m not sure you’ll be able to find it at your local Asian market. Somehow, I don’t think it’s a common item.
By the way, the cans measure only about two inches tall.

Lian: No, there’s more than a dozen inside a can. And they’re a you-know-what to get out, too.

So- is it almost a pop rocks sensation??
Deanna: Well, I just braved another pellet to refresh my memory (you know, since I didn’t grow an extra finger after eating the first one). I’d say that Pop Rocks have much more of a *pop* to them, whereas this candy has a subtle fizz. I prefer Pop Rocks; they taste better and they’re more fun to eat.
Oh man. I bet that would foam up like a bugger if you dropped it into a bottle of coke. Hummm…soda bombs…
are these candy made in china
