Happy Happy Fruit Letter Set

I actually wrote a letter using this stationery set. Crazy, huh? I haven’t written anyone like this since junior high, when I would exchange letters in between classes with friends I’d just seen in class and would chat on the phone with after school. Because the teacher who seemed like she was perpetually PMSing and the boy who everyone crushed on most certainly needed to be discussed in letters, in person, and over the phone.
But this is a site about Asian items (mostly food), so I’ll shut up now and let the rest of the photos for this Happy Happy Fruit Letter Set do the talking.

That is freakin’ CUTE stationary! XD
Also, because I am blind, I thought it said “Fruit Leather” at first.
Lian: I sometimes misread things, too, and then wonder why I even thought it said ” ” when that made no sense at all. And the stationery is another find from the Japanese dollar store.

Memories came RUSHING back in after I saw this!! I had so many ‘packets’ like this as kid!! Great stuff.
This came from the DAISO…the Japanese dollar store!!! It’s the best store in Japan. You can buy just about anything at the DAISO and almost all for just 100 Yen (equivalent to about one dollar). I live right down the street from a DAISO and LOVE going shopping for all kinds of things!!
Mindee: Yup, this is a Daiso letter set. I’ve been able to control my spending there lately, but I spent three hours at the store the first time I went. It’s filled with all sorts of fun, interesting things.
Oh my gosh, that sounds like my kind of store then! There’s this little place I went to in San Fran, I think it was Genki, and there were sooooooo many cute/awesome/quirky/interesting/amazing things there I wanted to get! I did get some stuff but held back because it was like, overload.
Lian: Daiso is a cool store; I think you’d like it. Besides the letter set, all of the notebooks and many of the plates, bowls, and mugs used in my site photos are from there.
This is so cute
I used to exchange letters all the time with my two friends back when I was in high school! I love the designs of japanese letter sets xD
