Thai Coconut Roll (Original Flavor)

I had been excited to try this Thai Coconut Roll ever since I saw a woman place three boxes of it in her shopping cart. That was all the (silent) recommendation that I needed.

A little bit of backstory for you history buffs.

I’d never paid much attention to packaging until I started this site. This is fancier packaging than I’m used to.

The bane of my existence: little, convenient packages of cookies.

Closer to the prize.

Delicate yet sturdy coconut-flavored rolls…

studded with black sesame seeds.

Flaky layers.

Did I mention flaky layers?

About those flaky layers—the rolls crumble if you do the dainty, ladylike thing and eat them by biting them in half. But who has time for that kind of nonsense when you can pop ‘em whole into your mouth?
The rolls had a light coconut flavor and sweetness, mixed with hints of sesame here and there. I’m happy to say that this snack lived up to my anticipation.

These rolls look yummy! I’ve had similar cookies. Only I think they were Chinese and not coconut flavoured - maybe egg or plain? So I guess they weren’t too similar. But they were good!
Carolynn: I think I know the rolls/cookies you mentioned. They’re a lot crumblier than these rolls. I like both.
Ditto! I’ve had something similar but not coconut flavored. Man, I used to love eating those. (Also, I like your little story! haha.)
Lian: If you used to love eating those rolls and like the flavor of coconut, I think you’ll like this item. I quite like it.
Haha, but in all honesty, I don’t think I should eat more junk food than I already do. My brother commented that whenever we go to the store together I ALWAYS get snacks. At first I denied it, saying that, “Well, I hardly ever go shopping anyway [so it balances out]” but then, yes, I realize that I really do get a ton of junk food!
Lian: I don’t shop for other things, like clothes and shoes and the like, nearly as often as I do for food. I actually like, maybe love, grocery shopping. And the snack aisle—hello! That’s where all the fun is!
Haha! You’re like me in that respect. I also like, almost never go shopping for clothes or shoes. I don’t really care for it at all! All that trying on stuff is tiring and repetitive. The snacks are TOtally where it’s at.
