Every Burger

Okay, this is getting ridiculous.

No, not this product’s packaging.

Nor the Japanese drawings and writing on the inside flap.
Something else is ridiculous, to the point that I couldn’t get over how ridiculous it was when I saw it.

It’s THIS, the item itself, quarter-sized ‘burgers.’

Sesame seeds, which are actual sesame seeds. Are these people—the creators of this snack—for real?

The meat, er, chocolate filling.

And the bun, which looks toasted to me.

We know that part of what makes a burger great is its juiciness. This was plenty juicy.
It was also light overall—the bun and sesame seeds had a soft crunch, and the chocolate was slightly sweet. Don’t go buying this item anticipating a strong chocolate flavor, because it won’t be there. But do expect for it to be ridiculously cute.

Those are cute, I wasn’t expecting them to be chocolate!
These look totally scrumptious. I’m glad you posted these because I probably would have avoided them but now that I know what they look like I’ll be on the look out for them.
Those look freaking AWESOME!!! Ah!!! So cute! And realistic-looking. They took so much care to make them look like actual burgers with the toasted bread and sesame seeds. So awesome.
Sarah Lynn: I’ve learned to expect the unexpected with Asian items, especially Japanese ones!
Juju: The burgers are totally fun to eat. They look better than they taste, though, as they lack much of a chocolate flavor.
Lian: I didn’t know what to expect at all with this item—almost every word on the outside and inside of the box was in Japanese—and was pleasantly surprised at what it was. I love little details, and you’re right, they did take a lot of care with the details. I feel like a kid in a candy store when I visit this particular section of the market.
Oh man, I love Every Burger. Each time I go to one of our local Japanese food stores I have to get a pack. They’re so fun and cute! And I really like the sesame taste with the chocolate.
Keely: You know, this may have been the first time I’ve tasted a chocolate-and-sesame flavored snack, which is kind of amazing to me. I was actually really surprised and delighted that this snack had real sesame seeds. For some reason, I thought it’d be some substitution.
