Instant Spring Rolls (Garlic With Chili Flavor)

What is it about miniature-sized things that make them look so much more appealing?

Is it really the sizeālike how these Instant Spring Rolls measure about 0.5 inch x 1 inch?

Or the care in details, such as the way these Vietnamese snacks are folded tightly just like regular-sized spring rolls?

(A closer look at the chili coating.)

And how they’re sealed with the signature triangle corner?

What about the inside details, like how these spring rolls have flaky layers of wrapping and a minced meat-like filling?

It’s all of those things that make this item look appealing to me. As for the taste? Not so much. These snacks are seasoned with garlic and chili, yes, but also contain shrimp, which is pretty dominant in flavor. I didn’t really care for the shrimp taste. However, I could see how some people would like this snack because of all its ingredients and its crispiness. I’ll just go back to admiring its cuteness.

I would want to get it because of the garlic flavor but not with the chili. I wonder if they hand made this? Though you mention not much taste and so I guess I would have to pass on this. Too much inside the jar for me to eat by myself.
Oh, I saw these too! (And like you, fell for it’s cuteness factor.) I haven’t gotten it though. I guess real egg rolls really are the best.
Lian: I can’t, in good food or money conscience, recommend this item. There are so many more tastier foods worth the few bucks I spent on this. Like yeah, real egg rolls.
