See, when I picked up this small tube of candy, I expected to be biting into coffee beans, the kind that are ground to make coffee. Yeah, my mind works in weird ways. (And why would I want to bite into those coffee beans???)

Before I get to what was actually inside of the tube, let me talk about what I saw when I untwisted the top. Some little animal drawings with Japanese words ending in an exclamation point. Now this I would be surprised not to find.

Bottled Thai Tea, Instant Thai Tea, and Tea Time Mug

I like the flavor of tea. And I like the consistency of coffee with milk or half-and-half. I got this drink because of the promise of both those things.

I just want to point out something that I think is pretty ingenious about this item—the advertising found on both sides of its neck. Here you see an ad for a Green Tea N’ Cream drink (the other side displayed a picture of Thai Tea Powder).

The advertising doesn’t involve only pictures, though. It also includes the words, “Made from finest ingredients.” (The distributor of this drink is a company called Taste Nirvana.)
