Chinese New Year 2010: Red Envelopes/Lucky Envelopes

Another year, some more red envelopes/lucky envelopes (lai see) with vibrant colors and good wishes to showcase.

This cherub-faced little girl is wishing, “Much more riches.”

And this envelope states, “Good luck every year.”

This one keeps it basic with, “Fortune.”

I don’t know which message is best…all of them seem pretty great.

I liked the Disney character ones myself. LOL!
Slammie: Yeah, I think I’ve seen Disney ones. Definitely Hello Kitty envelopes (that girl gets around). There are some really cute/pretty red envelopes, and there are also pretty ugly ones. A lot to choose from, though.
That girl’s eyelids scare me. Is that a lotus flower? And I like that you captured the texture on the packets.
Lian: Yeah, I think that is a lotus flower, which supposedly symbolizes many things in Chinese culture like purity, beauty, and summer.
