Saku Saku Panda (“Kabaya”)

When I selected this item to photograph, I thought that I’d just be snapping some pictures of the box and the panda biscuits inside of it.

Right?

Um, no…

sakusakupanda2

Before opening the box, I should’ve thought harder about it being a Japanese item and what that could mean. Not wanting to deprive any readers who can read Japanese of a possibly clever or cute joke or saying, I took this photo.

And this one.

sakusakupanda4

Then I couldn’t stop.

sakusakupanda5

What do you think is going on? I’m going to guess…

sakusakupanda6

I don’t want to go to work…

sakusakupanda7

Please don’t make me go to work…

sakusakupanda8

I’ll eat all of my bamboo from now on, I swear, just don’t make me go to work…

sakusakupanda9

I’m begging you!

(Pleading, crying, and begging don’t work for me either, Panda.)

sakusakupanda10

Oh, what do we have here?

sakusakupanda11

An…Ewok? (They scared me as a child and stilldoasanadult.)

sakusakupanda12

Ah, a much friendlier-looking face.

sakusakupanda13

Sorta. See, the biscuit is two-faced, literally.

sakusakupanda14

One side is white chocolate and milk chocolate; the other is plain biscuit and milk chocolate. I thought I was done with the cuteness, here.

I was wrong yet again.

sakusakupanda15

I found a little somethin’ somethin’ extra in the box.

sakusakupanda16

Oh no…

sakusakupanda17

Now I’m really done for.
