So, I’ve realized that this Web site has become known to some people as one about Asian snacks. And I’m okay with that. Featuring all of those snacks has given me a list of things that I think would make great stocking stuffers/gift bag goodies.

The first item on the list will come as little surprise to many.  (I got all of the following things at local Asian markets, but some are also available on Amazon.com. I’ll include a link to the original post, as well as an Amazon.com one if I was able to find the item on the site.)

Mooncakes

Do your days ever blend into each other so that you don’t know what day it is…or heck, you forget what time of the year it is?

It took a table display of colorful mooncake boxes to remind me that fall was approaching (where did my summer go?!), and with that, the Mid-Autumn Festival (a.k.a. Moon Festival). It’s celebrated on September 22nd this year (it’s a different date every year; last year it was October 3rd).

I quite enjoy inspecting the outsides of the brightly decorated boxes and tins. Like this one, with a built-in gold ribbon.
